If you select to donate in ALL Areas (not just your home town); you would be an “Out of Town Donor” - Traveling Donor

We work with clinics based in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban and Port Elizabeth.

What this means is – should you be selected to donate, you would need to travel to either Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban or Port Elizabeth to donate.

All the necessary travel arrangements including flights; transport and accommodation arrangements will be organised for you and paid for by Nurture. You will also receive a daily allowance for the days that you are away from home.

We work with Top Class clinic’s in these cities. Together with the fabulous Dr’s and co-ordinators who we have worked with for many years (and who we absolutely adore) you will be well looked after in typical Nurture fashion!

How it would work:

If/when selected, you would be flown to the host city (either Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban or Port Elizabeth) for a day to do the medical and psychological screening (Initial Appointments).  Generally you fly in on the morning of your appointments and back home the same day.

If all is ok with those results – the actual donation will be planned for 6 to 8 weeks after your initial screening. Please be aware that during the actual donation process you would be away from home/University/work for a minimum of 10 days.  A doctor’s letter can be provided by the clinic for the initial day visit and for the duration of your donation stay in the host city.
