What It’s all About

Information for Intended Parents

Dear Future Parent, most of you will have arrived here after a long, hard journey and we want to give you a big old hug. Infertility sucks, we wouldn’t wish it on our worst enemy.  broken-heart_0

Here at Nurture UK we wont tell you to ‘just relax’ nor will we tell you to just ‘go on holiday and you will get pregnant’.

We know this is a big, big thing for you, and we are sure you have lots of questions. For answers to all those questions, and more – check out our Recipient FAQs!

Now that we have that out of the way, lets get down to the reason why you clicked here in the first place: Choosing your donor!

Viewing our database of available donors

The first step is for you to view our available donors online. Please visit our donor portal by clicking on the following link:  Donor Profiles.

This link will take you to the Nurture Donor Portal. You will be asked to register with your email address and a password.  Once you verify your details (a verification link will be emailed to you), you will be able to browse the list of available donors.  If you get stuck or need help completing the form, we are just an email away – please email us straight away on info@nurturedonors.com and we will help.

Please note that all donors registering with UK clinics will be identifiable to people conceived using their gametes when these people reach the age of 18. What this means is that if the child wants to know more about his or her genetic origin, they are able to get this information in a controlled manner. These donor-conceived people may apply to the HFEA to receive identifying information about their donors. The information will only be given out by the HFEA to a child born as a result of the donation after the child’s 18th birthday and only upon request made by the child. As a recipient you will receive only non-identifying information about the donor at the time of treatment. The donation is confidential; it is not anonymous. For more information about donor anonymity refer to the HFEA website.

Securing your donor

Once you’ve been through all the profiles and you’ve found your ideal donor, you are able to reserve your donor by following the prompts online.

Please note that we are only able to ‘hold’ our donors for a period of three months, which means that the donor’s treatment cycle must have started within three months of being chosen.

The next steps

The next step in the process is for the donor to undergo a medical and psychological assessment in order to determine her readiness to go ahead with the cycle. It can take around 2 – 4 weeks from initial appointments through to blood results. Once she has been given the all clear, the clinic will contact you to arrange your treatment plan, which includes appointments, medication and the syncing of both of your cycles.

Please be assured of our constant care and support, and here at Nurture UK we all wish you lots of luck and love on the road ahead and we hope that your journey is a short one filled with sweet success.

Any further questions, please give us a shout at info@nurturedonors.com we will get back to you ASAP.
